FAQ

A few common questions about the service.

Is this a medical home care service?

No. Extra Help by Brooke is intended as non-medical companionship and caregiver relief. It does not provide skilled nursing, medical treatment, or licensed medical services.

Who is companionship for?

It may be a fit for an older adult or another adult who benefits from having someone present because of memory changes, fall risk, a light disability, loneliness, or simply because family does not want them left alone for a period of time.

Can a family caregiver leave during a visit?

Yes. That is one of the main reasons for the service. A caregiver may need time for lunch, errands, shopping, appointments, or a personal break.

Does Brooke also provide pet sitting?

Yes. Pet sitting can include drop-ins, feeding, playtime, companionship, and basic pet care agreed upon in advance.

What about house sitting?

House sitting can include home checks, mail and package checks, basic plant care, and keeping an eye on the property while the client is away.
